She has never met her father. No one seems to know where he is. The only clue is an old postal stamp.

Her father is a Sami, from an indigenous people struggling to preserve their original way of living. In Sweden their history has been swept under the carpet. She travels north to find out more. The search for the father reveals to be more complicated than anyone could expect. Finally she gets to know her Sami origin. Not only has she missed out on a father, but a whole culture.
Given an Audience Award as one of the best films of 2004. All categories.
